What is happening?

• A fire is burning in a large factory at Parramatta Road, Annandale.
• More than 15 fire trucks and 40 fire fighters are working to extinguish the fire.
• An exclusion zone is currently in place.
• A smoke plume is likely to continue impacting the surrounding area overnight.

What you need to do

• People in the vicinity should avoid smoke by leaving the area, or stay inside with doors, windows and vents closed.
• People not in the vicinity should avoid the area.
• Follow the instructions of emergency services personnel.
