Watch and Act

The NSW SES advises people to AVOID THE FOLLOWING AREAS due to broken power lines:

  • Byron Coast
  • Coffs Coast
  • Macquarie Coast

You should monitor the situation and avoid the area until further advised.

What you need to do:

  • Consider the consequences of road closures and allow extra travel time.
  • Stay clear of fallen trees, power lines and any damaged buildings.
  • Do not go sightseeing as this may hinder recovery efforts or put yourself and others at risk.
  • If your roof or balcony has been struck by a fallen tree/branch or other large debris - stay clear and remain indoors if you can. It may have been structurally weakened, even if there is no obvious damage.
  • custom 1
  • custom 2
