Return with caution

Advice

The NSW SES advises you may now RETURN WITH CAUTION to the following area(s):

  • Byron Coast
  • Coffs Coast
  • Macquarie Coast

What you need to do:

  • Check your house or property for damage. If your property has been affected - stay clear. It may have been structurally weakened, even if there is no obvious damage.
  • Stay out of the water and away from areas exposed to damaging surf.
  • Do not stand near or at the bottom of eroding cliffs and dunes.
  • Stay clear of fallen trees, power lines and any damaged buildings.
  • If safe to do so, check on neighbours who may require assistance.

For more information:

For emergency assistance during a flood, storm or tsunami, call the NSW SES on 132 500. In a life-threatening emergency, call Triple Zero (000).
