Advice

The NSW SES advises people in the following area(s) to STAY INFORMED about a potential Tsunami threat that may exist:

  • test

You should stay informed by monitoring warnings issued by NSW SES on their website and Facebook page, listening to your local ABC radio station, and checking the latest tsunami information from the Bureau of Meteorology online.


What are we expecting?

The Bureau of Meteorology advises test

Based on predictions from the Bureau of Meteorology, the following areas may be impacted by hazardous tsunami waves:

  • low lying coastal areas

What you need to do:

  • If you have a Home or Business Emergency Plan, follow it. Otherwise, have a conversation and plan for what you will do and take with you if you need to evacuate.
  • Obey all signs about beach and foreshore closures and instructions from emergency services.
  • Share this information with family, friends and neighbours and help others prepare where possible.
  • Farmers should consider moving pumps and farm equipment to higher ground.
  • Companion animals and livestock should be relocated to higher ground.
  • The safest option is to evacuate as early as possible to avoid additional hazards. Do not wait till the last minute.
