NSW SES advises people in the following area(s) to PREPARE NOW for forecast heavy rainfall with flash flooding possible, damaging winds, destructive winds, large hailstones, giant hailstones, tornadoes, test:

What are we expecting?

What you need to do:

  • Trim trees and branches that could potentially fall on your home or property.
  • Park your car under secure cover and away from trees, powerlines and drains.
  • Secure or put away items, such as outdoor furniture, trampolines and roofing iron that could blow around in strong winds.
  • Prepare an emergency kit in case you lose power or need to leave your home.
  • Ensure snow chains are carried in alpine areas.
  • NPWS advise against back country travel.
  • Monitor warnings issued by NSW SES on their website, HazardWatch and Facebook pages, the Hazards Near Me mobile app, local radio or television, and by following the latest weather information from the Bureau of Meteorology online.
