The NSW SES is advising people in the following area(s) to SHELTER INDOORS NOW due to snowstorm, blizzard conditions:

It is now too late to leave safely due to the hazardous weather conditions. Shelter indoors now in a safe and sturdy structure. You may now be trapped without power, water, and other essential services and it may be too dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you.


What are we expecting?

The NSW SES advises these weather conditions may cause:

What you need to do:

  • Shelter indoors now in a safe and sturdy structure.
  • Monitor warnings issued by NSW SES on our website and Facebook page and check the latest weather information from the Bureau of Meteorology online.
  • If you have a Home or Business Emergency Plan, follow it.
  • If you must go outdoors, consider exposure to cold temperatures and lack of visibility which can cause you to become disorientated. Wear suitable protective clothing such as waterproof outdoor clothing and always wear a beanie or hat to avoid losing body heat. Limit time outdoors as much as possible.
